Do you find it hard to stick to a work out regimen do you quickly get burned out going to the gym or walking the same route everyday doing the same ole same ole of what you think you are ” suppose ” to do to work out?

The truth is a lot of us are in the dark when it comes to working out we really do not know where to start so we just do something to get moving! This is get to get up off the couch however to stay motivated and to keep momentum it’s important to take the time and find a program that works for you!

1. When I’m told I must do something I….

A. Hop to it!  I respond well to directions and set plan. 

B. Bristle. Taking orders feels stressful and uncreative

2. Which mind/body philosophy speaks to you? 

A. I’m happy once I hit a set target. Achieving results gives me the incentive to keep going. 

B. If I am happy. weight loss will follow . I need to be in a good head space to be active. 

3. I am more likely to stick with a work out if it….

A. Leaves me sweaty and breathless. That way I know I worked hard!

B. Doesn’t feel like work. Fun and stress relief are foremost! 

4. Stepping on the scale is…

A. A helpful check. I like to know my weight so I can tell if I should change my behavior. 

B. A no-no I’d rather focus on how I feel to gauge progress. 

5. Which fitness philosophy do you most agree with? 

A. I work out to keep my body strong, healthy and fit. 

B. My work out is more than a way to tone; It keeps me feeling whole, calm and grounded.

So do some research and find a workout plan that you can stick with if you get burned out change it up a bit but find activities that match your personality to ensure long-term success!

Divas Eat Tuesday! Power Cranberries Reduce Cancer & Heart Disease Risk

Cranberries are a fruit that grows in North America from the Carolinas all the way up to Canada! These tiny red berries are LOADED with health benefits!

Most of the time we see cranberry as a sauce a cocktail sometimes can be used in pies and cobblers and a great addition to a fabulous night cap cocktail!

Cranberry Benefits: 

  • Powerful flavonoids

  • Potassium
  • Fiber
  • Protects and fights urinary tract infections
  • Protects your heart
  • Combats Cancer
  • Can fight ulcers and gum disease
  • Kills bacteria

According to Professor Dr. Ted Wilson of The University of Wisconsin- La Crosse says that just one glass of cranberry juice a day keep the infection-causing bacteria away.

We need oxogen  in order to live the oxidative process is when a oxogen molecule a free radical, think of a free radical like a termite in our body – the antioxidant kills the termite so if we do not get enough antioxidants to kill these termites they build up in our body they damage our ” home ” by building up in our blood vessels, proteins, fats, and even DNA  cells!

Oxidative Stress has been shown by medical research to be the root cause of over 70 chronic degenerative diseases; including type 2 diabetes, heart disease, stroke, cancer, lupus and even Alzheimer’s & dementia.

Wilson discovered that cranberry juice helps  LDL cholesterol from forming plaque in the arterial wall of our arteries. Plaque is what builds up overtime from oxidation eventually these same plaques can obstruct blood flow to your heart and brain.  – Not a good look for a diva!

The flavonoids are good at providing antioxidants which slow down the oxidation process by opening up and dialating the blood vessels so they may also help prevent blood clotting according to Wilson.

Cranberries are also high in Fiber so they lower cholesterol and help reduce risk for heart disease or stroke.

Vitamin C in cranberries has been linked to reduce certain types of cancers including breast cancer and they may also prevent ulcers, ulcers are caused by bacteria infection in your stomach linning if the flavonoids ( antioxidants ) in cranberries can stop bacteria from sticking they might help stop ulcers from forming.

So drink up Divas have a Cranberry Cocktail or two!

Thinking about money & happiness; you know different things motivate people. Have you ever wondered why the happiest people are not usually the ones with the most money but truly enjoy what they do? Starting The Fly By July Campaign this women’s health awareness movement brings me great joy and is such a thrill to work towards my dream day after day. I see a bright future for the campaign and I just get so excited for the future that is abound!

When I first get up in the morning:


I think what are my goals today? What am I going to do to take the world on? How am I going to move forward and make it all happen! 

I love the sense of accomplishment when I have achieved my goal for the day and when people comment on how they are inspired by the movement and have made a decision to get on the healthy train! It is the most amazing feeling to have inspired someone to take control of their health & lifestyle. For the first time in my life I feel a sense of purpose and this experience is fulfilling me in more ways than I could have ever imagined. 

I have never been happier than I am right now making a difference in the world. I feel that I am at the beginning of working God’s plan for me and now have an understanding of why things happened in my past. I did not really understand at the time. It is my past that has placed me where I am today. If certain events did not happen I would not have the wisdom and experience to do what I am doing right now.

If you want to fight for something that is worth having ,sometimes we have to sacrifice in order to get it. It may be uncomfortable and we may feel like giving up at times but having a clear vision of our purpose and what makes life worth living for us makes it all worth it and it is what will keep us motivated;  that once we reach our goals and living our dream that we would be willing to do it all over again!

Perseverance. Diligence. and Consistency are the keys to success & happiness.

Apple-shaped divas are fuller around the middle. If they gain weight, it shows up around their belly and upper body. They’re usually larger-breasted and their upper arms and shoulders are broader, too. Their legs tend to be thin and their butts tend to be flat; so in hind site the full rack and L.A Legs make up for the lack in the back 🙂
If, like most apple divas, you have great legs, short skirts are in order. If you’re in the office, the shortest your skirt should be is just above the knee. If you’re going Clubbin, go a little higher! Booty shorts get cha Daisy Dukes On! You are one of the rare divas that can get away with this! Lucky Diva you!

A-line skirts also work with your figure.

Since they flare out from the waist, A-line skirts offer balance and proportion to your upper half.

Wear bras that support your bust. And any straps on your tops should be wide enough to cover your bra straps.
If you have a fuller chest area (and are comfortable accentuating this area), draw attention to it. Doing so keeps straying eyes from your midsection. Wear a sexy V-neck. (Ooh la la!)

If you’re an apple with great legs, you can ROCK with anything on the bottom, even knits. As far as your top goes, stay with materials that offer more structure, like a straight cut cotton blouse, or something blousy like silk. Both of these camouflage the midsection. You want to avoid tight knits on top because they cling and accentuate this area.

If you don’t have much junk in the trunk, and you want to give the illusion that you do, wear pants with back pockets. Your jeans should have a rise lower than your natural, wider waist. Don’t wear pants with pleated fronts, as that only makes your middle look larger. So Get so Booty Sparkle Jeans with designs on the pockets and give yourself a hind side!
