Hey Divas!
It’s been a crazy past couple of weeks l hope you all are doing well and keeping it Fabulous as much as we can even if we don’t really feel like it.
Sunday Funday
Makeup? What’s that?
Dresscode: comfy cozy
So since W@H l realized how much l love being here. A diva has gotten waaaay too comfortable. I’ve gained quite a bit of weight and my body is like no. The jig is up.
Over the past couple weeks l’ve gotten consistent on taking my vitamins & having a protein shake in the morning. I eat pretty good but have been binging on Homemade Cheddar Fries l know shameful 🤭 but they are so good! My vice.
My new morning routine;
Meditation 🧘🏽♀️ no more coffee
This week’s goal: Walk daily 30-45 minutes making a commitment to get out of my house by 6:30 am before work.
2 cups Lemon Juice as soon as l wake up and then after my walk 2 cups of celery juice. I learned today that this helps detox the body it allows the liver to clean out the junk from our day to day life pollution, toxins we inhale, the food we eat etc. This helps keep our body clean and minimize it building up toxins over time and can also help with weight management.

Hey Divas,
How are we doing?
It’s been an emotional 10 plus days or so.
In the wake after witnessing George Floyd’s death on social media was beyond disturbing, it was horrific.
I felt extremely angry. I felt extremely anxious. I felt extremely frustrated the first couple of days. Then l started having the conversations and sharing different points of view about the BLM movement and police brutality. We shared experiences of racism that we have faced. It’s a place that some of us do not want to go to and for far too many of us this is our normal.
Having different perspectives reminds me that this impacts everyone in different ways.
The cool thing about all of this it is that for the first time black people have the support of our country and the world. I can only speak for myself but for the first time we are not fighting primarily by ourselves. We have the support of each other AND the world.
The millions upon millions of people from all backgrounds united has been beyond inspiring. It’s a paradigm shift in a major way and it’s absolutely beautiful. I’m incredibly proud of our younger generation of what has been accomplished in just 10 days.
What I have learned through all of this is the importance of living with intent and purpose.
Being a black person who was born, lives and works in the United States it’s a disgrace that we have to prove that our LIVES matter, that WE matter in a country that WE fight for, that our ancestors DIED for and ultimately where WE were ALL born; natural AMERICAN citizens.
This movement goes far beyond fighting for justice and protesting against police brutality. This pain, this hurt is far deeper. We can not change that racism will be here until the end of times. However, once we show the world we are together they can’t stop us.
So often as women we do not put ourselves first, this movement is as big political as it is personal OUR LlVES MATTER. Self Awareness Self Care and Self Love is crucial more than ever during these times. We can only love each other to the extent that we love ourselves!

My mother she would have been 70, this Mother’s Day is especially difficult for some reason although it’s been so many years…she was so very beautiful, intelligent, witty and a lot of fun.
She loved flowers 🌸 and was a music fan 🎶 she loved watching the law shows she was interested in going back to school to study law and horticulture.
We were ok, lol but she loved her grandkids! She was fascinated that she could see parts of herself in them. I miss her terribly but so very grateful God chose her to be my mother.
l remember her telling me that all she wanted out of life was to grow up and have a family. It was at a time it was not popular for women as they were on the rise of being career driven, my Mom said you grow with your children either you be a stay at home Mom or have a career you can not do both.
I’m grateful my Mom in her short years on this earth did exactly what she wanted to do. I learned so much about life and the essence of being a woman from my mother, she was right about everything…l remember her asking me when l was getting out of my nerd days during one of our last conversations she said;
Aren’t you glad you’re a diva now?”
Cheers to you Mom, thee original Diva.
Until we meet again, know that I love you forever and always ❤️

Hey Divas!
How are we living!? It’s been a crazy past couple of weeks. I hope that you all and your families are safe, healthy and well.
In short my life has been bananas these past couple of years and am finally in a place where things are starting to settle and to calm down. Sometimes you just have to start where you are and get going. Just pick up where you are at and START. I was so caught up in perfection ” Not a good look for a Diva ” it’s all about prioritizing what matters the most.
What l have learned throughout this Quarantine is what really matters. Self Care. If we can not take care of ourselves we are pretty much useless to ourselves and the world. We can not pour from an empty cup.
So since summer has been officially cancelled summertime flyness has not! Making the most of this home time getting back on program!
We still got roughly a little over 8 weeks till July! You can follow all social media @flybyjuly
The blog is officially back up! FrFr this time.
See you soon!

Hi Divas!
It’s 2018! The blog is back up and running! I’ve missed you guys! It’s been a minute since I’ve been on the blog but lots have been going on behind the scenes in the world of FBJ! We had our first Breast Cancer Awareness Fundraiser Event ” The Pink Jam ” in October that was a raving success looking forward to all that is to come in 2018!
Here we are that time of year when optimism is at it’s peak!
Campaign Season is abound! January 20th – June 30th 2018 deets to come!
Self-doubt, fear, uncertainty, worry, panic attacks are all behavioral habits that can be broken. Change starts in our hearts but our lives will not change until we take action. Making a commitment to push myself this campaign season.
There is a saying if we keep doing the same thing expecting different results is insanity. Happiness is the end game but know that before we even step foot to the scale happiness is a matter of choice.
My goal of this campaign season is to push myself to take action and leverage the power of my decisions.
When we continue to blame people and situations for our current circumstances it’s going to take that person or that situation to get us out of it which will never happen which will keep us stuck FOREVVVVVAAAAAA! Not a good look for a diva!
I challenge and encourage you as I challenge myself to take full responsibility for where we are right now, to make a decision and set an attainable health goal, to learn from our past and build those booty gainz!!! Hi FLY!!!!
