Hey Divas! ✨
Hello and welcoming Flying back into Fall! It’s officially Fall Ya’ll! Our Season in which we thrive here at FBJ! As promised, I will stand by my commitment to blog here weekly now that we are officially in Autumn. We’ve got places to go, people to see and things to do this Fall Season!
The next couple of weeks are going to be hectic lots going on and of course I will keep my divas looped in as things unfold. So here we are it’s Fall and although summer has come to an end it’s officially time to lock in and close out the year strong to set ourselves up for a successful 2026!
We are officially in the last 3 months well, almost two months of the year. I cannot even believe we are mouthing 2026 but we are here. We are here!

The most common cause that alot of us say that cause us to gain weight or find it difficult to manage it is our Emotional Eating.
I’ve always been a big girl during my entire adult hood. It started after High School, when I was younger a child I was ” skinny ” and was picky about what I ate and like most kids did not like vegetables, water, you know the things that sustain life.
As I got older, went through puberty, life happened, the good and bad. I didn’t use food as an emotional crutch. I wasn’t eating into oblivion. So that’s what I told myself to make it ” Ok. ” However, I did not make the most nutritious choices. I made my choices based off of convenience.
I had alot of shame around it because as I got older the weight just continued to pack on. I was confused because what I was eating did not, in my mind, justify the size of my changing body.
I lost my mother shortly after turning 25. I gained “grief weight.” About two years later, I got involved in my first “real” long-term relationship. I gained “relationship weight” during this time. I was in a pivotal point in my life and did not truly grieve her death until many years later.
Unprocessed grief and the excitement of a new relationship manifested in keeping busy. It also appeared in distractions, eating comfort food, and not showing up for myself or my relationship in ways I desired.
Over the years, any upset that I had in my life led me to use food as a reward. Whether it was issues at work, relationships, family, or grief, I used food as comfort and a companion.
Food in my opinion really is not the problem we need it to sustain our lives. It’s more about our relationship with food. It’s about tracking how often we are eating be it too much or not enough.
I’ve learned over the years that unhealthy eating and not getting in enough movement not only leads to weight gain but can also lead to self loathing and going into a downward spiral of anxiety that is really hard to get out of on our own. Not a good look for a diva!
It wasn’t until now that I am getting older and being grown in general doing the adult things, having doctor appointments, and navigating health scares. I realize that I do not want to grow old in pain and not being able to take care of myself.
I want to have quality of life and be capable of keeping my independence as long as possible. It really is not about the cute outfits anymore or even being desired to a great extent. I honestly just want to enjoy my life and be healthy anything else extra or if a balcony is involved 😜 is a blessing and a bonus!
I have lived enough life to know that there will never be a stress free time in life. To be honest, as long as we are here, life will continue to life and that’s a good thing. What challenges us ultimately grows us and makes for a better life experience, because when ish hits the fan as we grow we just get better and better at navigating life’s curve balls.
The important thing is to identify emotional triggers is to do a self check in. I’ve been doing this for about two years now and has been a game changer in managing my emotions.
I’m not perfect I will still have a good crash out session here and there but I no longer spiral and stay there. I have my moment or moments as they come and honor how I am feeling. I tell myself that my now is not my forever.
Facing our fears and staring at it dead in the face is the most empowering thing I have been able to do. It’s scary and uncomfortable. Journaling by far has been a game changer for me.
When life gets to be a bit more demanding and overwhelming, I journal more often. Once I started treating it as a personal meeting with myself, it became something that I look forward to each week.
It helps me get out of my head and clear my emotional bandwidth. For me, I’m old school, so it’s a real pen to real paper. Something about writing it down in real life adds the physical element of processing my emotions.
Self Check-In Check List

I’ve put together a self check in check list that can be used as often as you like or you need to check in with yourself dear diva.
How am I feeling?
What am I going to do about it?
Why do I feel this way?
How do I want to feel?
Asking myself these questions have helped me stay grounded and understand myself better and what I am feeling so that I can lean into how I want to feel.
We’re in the last 2 months of the year divas, let’s Lock-In and start wrapping up 2025!

Let’s get Fly by July Divas!!!!
Hey Divas!✨
Hello September and welcoming the next 365 days! So here we are. I mentioned in my last post that I am on a mission. My mission is to get these suggas in check and lower my A1C levels. Around this time last year I started to really get focused on my health and getting it together. The focus has been on getting in some more movement and making better food choices.
It’s been hard to make a goal. I do not really know where I am at or where I am trying to go. A lot of this is trial and error. It’s about finding what works. This is a lifestyle change, not a diet. Whatever I am doing, this will be for life and the long haul. I’m a little older now so my motivation has changed. Of course, a diva wants her aesthetics.
However, I am more focused on how I am feeling rather than my looks. But don’t get it twisted, I will not be out here looking like “Who did it and Why??”
My dreams of LA Legs and a flat stomach is simply not attainable with how my body structure is set up right now 🤣 I’m ok with that. I don’t care. I love every curve and plump roll, keeping and maintaining my health is the goal!
Body Goals & My Natural Shape
I carry my weight in my butt and my legs. I have a stomach. It is striving for a “pouch.” It’s all a part of the Big Girl deluxe package. I’ve always kept it real with myself. I would say that I have always had a realistic and positive outlook of my body image. However, since hitting my 40’s, I am experiencing hormonal changes, weight gain, and belly bloating. I’m finding myself navigating a new body.
I’ve always been a Big Girl. These days, carrying the extra weight reminds me of the heaviness of life that I’ve carried. It’s time to let go of the weight and the baggage of life. I’m finally in a space that I recognize everything is not mine to carry. Let all that ish that is holding you back go.
I don’t really eat to the levels that one would think for someone of my size. It’s not a matter of not having self control or will power or even emotional eating to a great extent. The weight of life and emotions is far heavier than the calories of any large pizza with extra cheese.
Traveling, specifically flying is when I am most self body conscious
My weight has never really been an issue for me. I’ve always been confident in my skin. I carry myself well. Then, all that confidence goes down the drain when I am traveling.
Traveling, specifically flying is when I am most self body conscious because the seats are so small anyways. I can feel everyone’s eyes on me hoping I do not choose a seat next to them.
I had to travel years ago because I was on my way to my Grandmother’s funeral. Emotions were already high. I board onto the plane and it is a completely full flight, not one extra seat.
The airline did not have assigned seating. I was the very last person to board the plane. Of course, the only seat left was, dare I say it, a middle seat.
There were two gentlemen seated on opposite ends. They were both Big Guys themselves. As a Big Girl, I thought to myself, there is NO WAY this is going to work.
I noticed a petite lady who was nestled into her aisle seat across from their row.
I became nervous that I would have missed my Grandmother’s funeral by booking the next flight out. I asked the lady if she would kindly exchange seats with me. She cringed and looked at me dead in my face and said, no.
I was completely humiliated and embarrassed that I was about to have to de-board this plane. The two guys warmly said:
” Come on girl, get in here we’ll make it work! ”
We did just that. Shoulder to shoulder, elbow to elbow, and thigh to thigh, we made it work.
Ironically it turned out that they were undercover flight marshals on that flight and had shown me their badges. They made one of my worst days one of my absolute best.
I felt so comforted and supported in that moment. Kindness can really make or break someone’s day.
I will never forget the compassion and kindness of those men to this day. It was a moment of clarity for me and having acceptance of where my body is right now.
Body Positivity hits different at 40+
I am capable of looking at myself honestly behind the shame and embarrassment. I will probably never fit comfortably in an airplane seat. I have to make accommodations and adjustments when traveling with a larger body.
Body Positivity hits different at 40+. There are many things that are just not as important as they were in my earlier days.
The goal back then was mostly was to wear something cute in the club. I wanted to be fashionable without looking middle aged.
We did not have all the choices there are today, plus size clothing was marketed to middle aged women. Now that I am middle aged, it’s not so bad here LOL.
Ultimately, I just want to be healthy and comfortable in my body. A snatched waist would be nice but not required and being Fly is just simply the standard of my life these days.
To be honest and realistic with these next 365 days, the goal is to get FLY! I also want to feel comfortable in my body. I’m naturally a bigger girl and I have a proportionate curvy shape I gain everywhere I lose everywhere. I can only go against genetics so much. I don’t want to change this.
I love my body, even at this size. My body has carried me through many storms and is still fighting for me everyday through health scares and all.
Taking time to really be thankful for my body and appreciating her has been a game changer in this journey.
So often, we are shamed for having larger bodies in society. Even in 2025, being fat is still viewed negatively. It is still measured as a barometer of health. Ultimately, healthy is healthy regardless of the body we are in. Similarly, unhealthy is unhealthy regardless of the body we are in.
Even if you have won the perceived societal “genetic lottery,” it does not promise or guarantee good health.
I just want my body to be healthy and carry me through into my later years. I am setting myself up for success while I am still in my prime years.
In our 40’s and 50’s, how we take care of ourselves is crucial. Our actions now will decide our health as we grow old. The goal is to be able to wipe my own behind and sustain myself at 80, should I be so blessed to make it there.
My Day 1 starting measurements for my health journey
It’s been said that we can’t manage the things that we do not measure in life, business and our health.
The medical industry has mostly set its weight guidelines according to the waist-to-hip ratio. It does not rely as much on the BMI, which we all know is the Body Mass Index. I’m not going to focus on that number too much. It does not distinguish between fat and muscle.
Thus, it’s not capable of giving an exact ideal weight goal in my opinion. So, let’s get out our measuring tape, divas!
This is what you need to do to find out your waist-to-hip ratio dear diva
- Get your tape measure and measure your waist right at your belly button line. If you do not have one, you can order one online. Alternatively, you can get one the old fashioned way by going to the actual store.
- You will want to stand with your feet hip width apart and then measure your hips at their widest point.
- Then you will divide your waist measurement by your hip measurement. Ta da! 🥳 This is your waist-to-hip ratio.
My waist 54 inches and My hips is 62 inches which gives us a grand total of .87. The ideal waist to hip ratio for women is .80 and men .95.
Whatever weight I am at once I reach my waist to hip ratio number. I will assess how I feel and manage my weight to keep it from there and beyond.

Setting the Vision and the Vibes for once I reach my Health Goals:
I remember I came across a quote years ago. I recall it to this day. It is always a guide in my fashion decisions. It has been a staple for at least the past 15 years or so.
The quote: ” You don’t have to dress a body that sings ” resonates deeply with me. I love this quote to the depths of my soul. It has been a driving force how I embrace my body confidence.
If body positivism was a quote, this would be it.
One year from now. I imagine myself thick legs and in-shape walking pass a mirror somewhere and giving myself a double take. Girl is that you???
I see myself somewhere tropical. I’m wearing a two piece and a cute sarong. I’m sipping on some exotic cocktail and eating delicious fresh seafood.
It’s July I’m Fly and I am living my very best life! My hair is decorated with cowrie shells and flowing faux locs releasing my inner Island gyal. My skin is clear my eyes are bright, energy vibrant!
Breaking Down My Health Goals at 40+
Ultimately, yes I want to be Healthy and comfortable in my body but how does that look on paper? It’s hard to get a hold of your life and rebuild it without measuring.
It’s pretty difficult to make any real progress without measuring where we are. It’s also hard to understand where we’ve been. Additionally, we need to measure where we are going.
I found myself in a rut for many years. I just wasn’t really making a whole lot of progress in my life as I would have liked. I did not have a clear goal or a plan to get there.
I need to have a healthy A1C level to be healthy. My A1C level is higher than usual. I need to bring this number down. This will prevent it from developing into full blown diabetes. I am grateful. This is something that can be managed by lifestyle at this stage. It does not need medication right now.
To break down goals, you may have heard of using the SMART system. Make a goal Specific, Measurable, Achievable, and assign a Time Deadline to that goal.
To keep things simple, I will list my ultimate goal for the next year. It is to get my waist-to-hip ratio to .80 and my AIC level to 5.7 or better.
I will then break it down to what I will need to do monthly. I will decide what to do weekly and daily to reach this goal. I will celebrate by rewarding myself once achieved said goals!
Honestly, at times in the past, I feel like I’ve been rewarding myself way too much and just need some solid discipline. My health is on the line and I really can’t be playing any games. A healthy vibrant body is the reward.
My Mom was never the parent to reward good grades with money or treats. She always told us that our grade was our own reward. Now, I get it. Thanks Mom.
I challenge you to figure out your waist to hip ratio. Think about how life changing a healthier body will be. Consider how that will look on you. I challenge you to think about your own health challenges. Consider what you need to start moving in that direction. Write down some goals to help you get there!

Fly Girl Summer Refresh Era! Getting back into routine: 5 ways to get back on program • Fly by July Campaign
June 22, 2023
Mia The Diva
Hey Divas!
Fly Girl Summer is officially abound! I didn’t quite hit my Summertime Fly goals but have been getting my life together in major ways! 🙌🏽
There is so much more to a lifestyle change than eating salads and drinking coconut water.
I’m back! I’ve been off the grid a bit between catching up with friends after a long winter, spring cleaning 🧹 my space, my life and everything else in between to prepare for the summer months ahead.
I’ve cleaned my carpets! Whoop! Whoop! Yes it was way overdue and l tell you the feeling is so amazing to walk into freshly cleaned carpets!
Dirt like hair carries an energy to it and just as cutting those split ends releases negative energy a good carpet steam clean is so good for the soul. My space feels like it has an openness to it which l am loving.
I do have a personal upright steam vacuum but let me tell you not a professional job but it got the job the done. If that makes sense.
I’ve gotten off track a bit yet again easing into the new year life happens, it’s always happening but like I’ve always said this is not a race it’s a journey.
However still keeping hydrated and minding my business as per usual. Life kinda looks like a zig zag but eventually we’ll get to where we want to be.
In this article l’ll be sharing how to get back into a wellness routine and 5 ways to get back on program if you’ve fallen off those New Year’s goals like me.
Summer is a great time to reset and refocus on ourselves. It’s a time to pause and be still, from an an astronomical moment in time, the sun stands completely still. Symbolically, a Diva or Vo can honor a sacred pause within their own being.
It’s kind of like a mid-year check in. There is plenty left of 2023 to accomplish those 2023 goals! If you didn’t quite hit your summer body goals developing healthy habits are an equal win dear diva!
The habits we set today will set us up for success tomorrow!🙌🏽
We’ve still got some time July is next week and we’ve still got the second half of 2023 to go! Enough time to develop some healthier habits as we are leaning into the busy or lazy for the lucky few of us summer months and rest of the year ahead!
If you are still on target showing up for yourself and crushing your goals, Congrats dear diva!
You are on your way to Summa Summa Time Flyness!! This article can still be of help to keep you on your game & the motivation flowing!

5 Ways How to get back into routine when you’ve fallen off program!
1. Keep it Simple
No need to go out and run 5 miles today. Jumping back in full throttle is asking alot especially if you can barely get out of bed.
I know for me these days l gotta do a warm up pre-game before l get outta bed! Being 40+and growing older is a privilege, but it’s not for the weak!
I’m also learning that growing older doesn’t mean being in pain if we keep all of our parts moving. We are only as old as our mindset.
So if staying in bed is the alternative to running 5 miles ummmm think l’ll stay in bed.
However looking forward to stepping outside to get a breath of air and going for a walk clear my mind and get my thoughts together for the day can be a game changer!
2. Keep it Real
Once l started looking at walking for my mental health it helped me be more consistent and it’s an amazing way to start your day full of insight, energy and ready to tackle the day. It can be as short as 15 minutes to walk around the block.
Not Easing into things and not keeping it simple sets us up for failure. If you’ve set unrealistic goals. You know you better than anyone else and know what’s right for you and your body where you are right now.
So maybe it’s just getting out of the bed opening a window and getting dressed for now. This can be a challenge right now for those working at home.
I know some days l get my diva card pulled working from home it really makes a difference the days l have to be dressed for Zoom meetings and have decided if l am on camera or not l dress as if l am going to the office and it has helped my production, energy and how l show up for myself and work.
If you’re not working at home to look pulled together for the day can be a stretch for some because we’re exhausted, maybe taking a few extra minutes to add a little makeup can make a world of difference in how you look and feel.
For my Fly guys reading a little cologne or a fresh cut if you need it can go a very long way!
3. What activity do you actually REALLY like? Do it!!
If you’re not a runner, don’t run. Forcing ourselves to do something that’s not really our jam makes it harder to force ourselves to do something we hate.
I recently started taking a step aerobics class one of my most near & dear long time sister friends’ became an instructor and l went out to support her class.
It turns out that l really enjoyed it and the first time l actually broke a sweat! I absolutely NEVER sweat this was a big one for me. I felt like my body was actually detoxing.
I don’t know all the moves and l don’t care how l look l’m moving my body for a solid hour and l feel great afterwards. That’s all that matters.
It was a great workout all around but my body did not like this jumping around for an hour. It’s taken time to adjust but l like it and have found something l can stick to.
So I challenge you dear diva to find something that keeps you motivated to find movements in your day or during the week. It can be something as simple as walking instead of running.
Going out dancing instead of an aerobics class is another idea, you just have to try different things until you find something you like and look forward to doing.
4. You’re going to mess up. Get over it.
In this space of life’s journey we have lived and experienced failures probably more times than we would like to remember. So we know we’re going to mess up. It’s going to happen, it’s coming but what are we going to do with it when it happens?
I started this blog 10 + years ago and have fell off so many times as a testament that this is a journey. lt’s not going to be perfect or look perfect. Sometimes l think about how far l would have been if l had more focus but you know l had a lot of life to experience to be able to better serve here.
I needed to grow a thicker skin and in a weird but comforting way l’m exactly where l need to be even though l do not feel like l am.
We may be on our game crushing our goals doin the things and BAM 💥 then something happens we fall off.
We feel like a failure when we fall off, we may fall back into old habits and that feeling of failure can be absolutely crushing but with some self care and compassion for ourselves can go a very long way and over time help us overcome those feelings and come back better than ever!
If you find yourself wallowing in self pitty have your moment (s) but don’t stay there when they surface. Have some empathy for yourself talk to yourself as you would a friend.
Don’t give up on everything that you’ve worked on it’s not lost we just gotta pick ourselves back up and try to identify happened that caused us to fall off.
Resolve what happened that caused us to fall off and try again dear diva, this is not a race! Give yourself and all of your efforts no matter how big or small they are they all count!
Just like when were babies learning to walk, we start again we may fall and that’s ok as long as we keep showing up for ourselves, exercise will eventually get easier.
So baby yourself and give yourself some grace. Nobody ever told us after we turn 18 we are to parent ourselves. Take care of you dear diva.
5. Treat Yourself
I’m not talking about at the end of your journey where you have one big reward but many that lead up to it. How that looks for you is upto you. During campaign season l encourage everyone to set weekly goals for themselves.
If you’ve crushed the goal you’ve set for yourself that’s a celebration! It doesn’t have to be anything extravagant it can be something as simple as getting a new matching set to work out in, a new water cup, anything to move your wellness journey needle forward, that will help keep you motivated!
It can also be non-monetary like having a nature day or having a self care day cooking up your favorite treat meal and indulging in a bubble bath.
Now that it’s warmer, you can even have a pool day and curling up to a good book or a spicy romance novel.
Whatever it is find something that’s a true incentive for you to keep you working towards your goal!
You’re not alone in this dear diva! This journey is so much more than our physical well-being!
We are here to support you on your journey so be sure to subscribe to this blog and follow the socials @flybyjuly to keep in the loop of all the things Team FBJ!

What’s stopping you from getting started on your Wellness Journey? • Fly by July Campaign
February 7, 2023
Mia The Diva
Hi Divas!
Here we are into February of this New Year! I hope you found the last post helpful in helping you envision your best 2023!
What’s stopping you from getting started on your Wellness Journey?
So here we are, where do we start? We know everything we need to do but somehow we’re not showing up for ourselves. Turning over when we set that early alarm.
Our beds are soooo comfy and it’s cold outside. We love our pillows, fluffy duvets, and warmth from our beds it’s so cozy here. I realized l didn’t want to get out of bed after having good intentions and setting that early alarm because ultimately it’s comfortable. It’s secure. It’s what l know.
I started thinking about other areas of my life and everything is comfortable, secure and what l know. I found myself having this aha moment of being in status quo.
Especially working from home my days are running into each other and look much of the same from day to day. I realized if l continue to stay in this bed (metaphorically) nothing is ever going to change in my life.
Shortly after the new year started, l was having a conversation and discussing my health goals for the new year with a friend. I work long days and was figuring out ways to make time so that l can get my walk in daily.
During our conversation I asked: “ Is this really realistic? Am l really going to wake up at 6am everyday?”
My friend responded simply and with the most care had said:
“ You have to —-.”
In that moment l realized what was stopping me from getting started on my wellness journey, something shifted. I realized l wasn’t making it a priority and was not given it a sense of urgency.
That night l laid out my workout clothes on my bed. The next morning l got up and went for my walk.

It turned into something that l realized l must do because l’m never going to own my life if l don’t take control of my health and the way l feel.
I don’t hit my workout goals everyday but l’m learning to change my scope of how l view consistency. I’m learning that tomorrow is always another day and another chance. It will never be done. This is truly a lifestyle change.

So this week is the official first week of campaign season! This year’s campaign will run through July 1st 2023. So be sure to Subscribe & Follow a diva!
I am here simply to share information l’m learning as l am on my own wellness journey to improve my health. I hope this blog can be a source of inspiration and motivation to get you started on your own healthy path dear diva!

Please know we are all doing this for ourselves but not by ourselves. I’m right here with you along the way as we get through this together and hopefully partner up in supporting each other towards something great.
The First Step: Set a Goal
We can not achieve success if we do not have something that we are moving towards. A goal helps us measure where we want to be.
It’s one thing for us to say we want to look like we had a BBL it’s another to have an ultimate goal that is as ambitious as attainable.
What’s attainable?
Everyday we are bombarded with IG Beauty Standards. IG models don’t even look like IG models IRL so stop the foolishness! Don’t let social media and society dictate how you should look and feel about your body.
Having unrealistic body aspirations only sends us down a path of poor self image and not feeling like we are “ good “ enough. – Not a good look for a Diva!
A quick story time. I started seeing a nutritionist about post pandemic 2021 due to some health challenges l was having. I never had suffered from poor body image. I’ve always been a big girl my entire adult life.
My mother was a Big Beautiful Woman and it didn’t stop her or what she wanted out of life which was a husband and a family. She didn’t have to work. She went to work because she chose to which are two very different things.
So in short as l got older and gained weight over the years l never saw it as a reflection of my value as a person, self worth or inability to date or be in a relationship. I’ve always been proud of my body and her strength.
However my scope of health was quite the opposite ironically. Like most of society my ideal of health was having the body of an athlete and eating salads.
I started having some issues with low iron, elevated blood sugar and cholesterol. I went to a nutritionist to help me with the tools to improve my diet, health & get my body into “ healthy “ shape.
My story about going to a nutritionist is for another post but it has been one of the key factors on my healing journey and has really helped put the pieces of my life together.
So during one of our sessions l was asking her ways that l can eat to lose weight and change my body. She had asked me, “ Mia, what if you never lost another pound? “ — l was speechless.
I was taken aback and even slightly offended like she didn’t have belief in me or something. That l was just destined to be this way forever. When l tell you that this was one of the most empowering moments of my journey this was that moment.
It took me sometime to think about it. It was about a week or so and when we met for our next session l was able to share with her that l had come to the actualization that all l could do is be myself.
All l can ever be is my healthiest self that is something that l can change if l don’t like it. Ultimately we are all born with what we’ve got. It was in that very moment that l was finally free from the perfectionism of my wellness journey.
Ever since then l show up. I strive to give my best and to be consistent is the goal. I’m not perfect l have ways to go but l am learning more and more about myself everyday. Our bodies are beautiful and can do some pretty amazing things.
I honor my body she shows up for me everyday as long as l have breath in this body. That was such a great question my nutritionist asked me and l am so grateful for her. It was a powerful loaded question that changed the entire direction of my journey.
What’s a realistic expectation?
There are three basic body types. It’s important for a diva to understand her shape and what she can and can’t expect from it.
The Apple Diva
This body type stores fat in the upper torso. The extra fat is usually carried around the tummy area this body type had evolved over time for longs periods without food. It’s important that Apples are health conscious to cardiac disease as they tend to store fat in the upper body.
The Pear-shaped Diva
This body type holds majority of fat in the lower body hips, thighs & butt. This body type mostly are woman and have evolved over time for fertility and breastfeeding so it’s harder to lose but not as much of a health risk as tummy fat.
The Proportionate Diva
This body type fat cells are evenly distributed throughout the entire body. They lose everywhere and gain everywhere. It all adds and comes off evenly.
Weekly Challenge:
So as you can see we all have a shape where our fat goes. Working out and eating a particular way we can altar our bodies to a point. Our genetics will kick in and we will have our reality. Once we get this we can let go of unreachable crazy “lG Model goals “ and replace them with real ones.
I challenge you this week to identify your basic body type and start thinking about a fitness goal of where you want to be by July 1st.
I want you to imagine it’s July 1st 2023 and you have crushed your fitness goal or on your way to crushing & achieving your fitness goals.
What changed in how you’re showing up today vs how you were showing up in your life this first week of February 2023?

Mia Thee Diva
Hey Divas,
There is no judgement in how l’m coping with life. We hear so much today about brokenness & healing. To heal means that something was broken. Know that we were never broken just growing & learning.
Life is tough. Life is also really great and the older we get the more shenanigan’s seem to unfold, but the wisdom we gain is priceless from surviving things that we have gone through and accepting people will disappoint us at one point or another especially those whom are closest to you.

Heal. I use that word sparingly. Take heart dear diva if you’re going through a hard time just know that it is temporary nothing last forever even when it feels like it. Nothing is permanent unless it’s a tattoo and even those can be removed. So you can’t mess up but you can always be curious.
Sometimes we have to break down so we can build ourselves back up. Sometimes we have to be still for a minute before we can move forward. We have to crawl before we can walk.

Healing is personal no one can tell you how to heal. It takes time and working on yourself learning yourself. What you like what you don’t like. What feels good, what doesn’t.
It also takes a level of maturity that like with any investment is gains interest over time and builds wealth; an abundance that can overflow into all aspects of your life. There comes a point when we have to accept that there is wealth in our health the reality of life is chaos and groundlessness. That’s why being healthy is so very important and its’ value is priceless.
The more we realize how insignificant we really are on this planet in the grand scheme of things; if we were to die today life wouldn’t stop it would keep going and our job posted the next day; accepting this reality keeps us humble and allows us to really focus on ourselves and enjoy our experience while we’re here.

Diva on a journey! 💪🏽💕 Let’s Get Moving!
So this week l decided to take some time off and had a designated chill day. I have been working a lot these past couple of months and just needed to slow down. I was able to soak up some Vitamin D and relax which was great.
Circling back from last post l started with my daily to do list and got most of the things done but also got a bit overwhelmed so learning and adjusting as l go.
This week’s goal is to get moving. I’ve focused on the mental wellness heavily along with nutrition which is vital it’s also time to focus on this body body body and get her together.
So this week my focus is movement! If you’re having trouble getting out and moving l challenge you to carve out some time this week and do the same dear diva!
