Fight Gallstone Pain! What to eat & What to avoid

The Gallbladder is what helps us digest our food.

When we eat food the gallbladder basically shoots out an acid like substance to break the food down when being digested called bile.

Problem: 

Trouble happens when there is not enough acid that gets shot out to help you digest food. This can be painful and keep a diva down! 

Solution: 

Fiber instead of Fat – A high fiber diet can help reduce the risk of gallstones by helping to control a diva’s weight.

Being overweight is a well known risk for gallbladder disease.

 

Starbucks!  If you can’t get rollin’ until you’ve had a second cup of coffee you may be protecting yourself from the pain of gallstones.

There was a study done that found our men who drank 3 cups of coffee a day were 40% less likely to develop painful stones from those who didn’t drink cofee.

Unfortunantly these results did not protect against gallstones, however it did reduce the symptoms in women who already had them.

So in a nut shell coffee may relieve the symptoms of gallstones but not of the gallstone themselves.

 

Vitamin C – Eat foods high in vitamin C like citrus fruits sweet red peppers, green peppers, strawberries and cantaloupe.

Scientist think that divas may be more likely to develop gallstones because of estrogen increased the amount of cholesterol in the bile

Most gallstones are made of excess cholesterol – vitamin C may protect women because it helps convert cholesterol into bile acids.

Hello Beauties!

Today is reserved for motivation.

I was going to write and article on someone else’s story but I wanted to share our story instead today.

Today is the launch day of  the First FBJ Campaign where we will be starting over and learning to lead a different lifestyle for the next 12 weeks.

In many ways I feel as if this is a calling from God and it is my duty to share what I have learned with the world.

I am humbled and honored that this group of  ladies joined me without question without judgement in blind faith as we embark on this journey to true health and wellness together as we set ourselves free from oppression of negative self talk, body image, and not treating our bodies to be at the best they can be.

We will continue to love ourselves no matter our size; however we must learn to honor our bodies and treat them right.

We are only given one temple in this life and it is our job to take care of it.

This special group of ladies is my motivation and is what keeps me going.

The days that I don’t want to exercise

The days that I think that our movement is falling on deaf ears

The days when I am just so tired. 

The days when I feel like giving up. 

I will look at this picture and know that this is not just about me anymore.

It’s about helping others live the best life possible and setting them free! 

 

I am blessed to have been introduced to such an amazing company,  USANA Health Sciences. This company has literally saved and has changed my life beyond what I could have ever imagined.

I was so ignorant to nutrition, health, wellness, and why it is so vital to our bodies and how the business world works and the many benefits that come along with it.

I have learned so much about degenerative illness and disease that lead to pre-mature deaths.

I have learned how to be an entrepreneur and how to become independently wealthy.

This company has found the  answer to living a full quality life.

That proper nutrition is the key to living a quality life and to help offset disease.

If I don’t make one sale from doing this it does not matter to me because of the knowledge and experience I have gained and the lives I have touched  is priceless.

Taking that trip to Salt Lake City for their Convention in the summer of 2010 on blind faith was one of the best decisions I have ever made.

 

This company inspired me to launch the Fly by July Campaign

Tinkle Time Can Boost Your Metabolism!

It’s Tinkle Time Beauties!

When we eat food our bodies gain energy from the food that we eat i.e ( calories )  It also must get rid of the end product of our body’s metabolism which is called waste #1 and #2.

Today we will be touching on the process of the tinkle.

As we get Fly and Fit it is important to know how the body works what organ functions are and why they are so vital to maintain good health.

Once we have processed food and it turns into waste it is carried to various places in our body through the blood and carried to various places to get the junk out like carbon dioxide ( water ) in the form of water vapor are exhaled through our lungs; ( This is why it’s not a good idea to smoke, it jacks up this whole process )

Salts and other water is comes out via sweat and all other waste are removed by the kidneys and comes out as urine.

This is why kidney health is so important it cleans out blood of toxins, that is why when people suffer from kidney failure die because their body is unable to function by keeping the blood clean.

Today we have dialysis which helps this process of the cleaning of the blood for those who suffer from kidney failure and diseases.

The kidney’s filter blood into a plasma and this is what makes urine on average a diva will produce 2 to 3 pints of pee.

There are factors that can increase this amount like drinking coffee, tea, alcohol, these are diuretics and can increase the amount as well as cold weather.

Ironically, stress, excessive exercise, sweat caused by hot weather, and not drinking enough fluids particularly water will decrease this amount and can even cause dehydration and build toxins in the body.

So drink your water divas!  The sauna is not going to do it for you if you are trying to fake this process.

The ureter is the tube that it connected to each of  the kidneys in the picture, it  gets processed int those tubes then it works it’s way down to the bladder and once released this is when the wonderful feeling of urination occurs!

So going to a sauna is really ” faking ” this process if you are trying to clear your pores or trying to lose fat , just drink water it’s free!

Divas don’t do tap water, we love our organic shaped eco-friendly bottled-water sooooooo, it may cost us a little extra because that’s how we roll!

An occasional trip to Starbucks, tea time, and the occasional nightcap cocktail can work tinkle wonders!
