Hey Divas,
Here l am getting back on track. The art of allowing. I’m in a space of life where l don’t have to get it all right. I’ve lived enough life to know what l like and what l don’t for the most part.
I know that l don’t like feeling tired and tapped out. I don’t like feeling drained. I don’t like feeling stressed, even though it’s healthy sometimes and a part of life. I do like how l feel after eating right and clean. I do like when l am actually on time for things. It reduces my stress and l am able to be fully present.
The sacrifice to eating clean is the prepping. It takes time and l am working on ways to perfect it to balance it in my life. If I don’t plan I go straight to what’s most convenient or miss a meal. Not a good look for a diva! lt’s all a work in progress but I take things day by day.
I’ve been chronicling my journey and got off track these past couple of weeks after losing my Uncle to cancer. I would think by now l would have this grief thing down but with every death a piece of me dies too. Every death is painful no matter how much you prepare for it. You’re never prepared when it actually happens.
My Uncle was a second Dad to me. He was the version of my Dad who broke all the rules. He lived in his truth and unapologetically.
Everything is eventual. This one hurts so bad.
I’m staying on the course and not allow grief to get me off the course. I’m in a space of life that l understand death is a reality of life as it is necessary and natural but it doesn’t take away the hurt.
I’m learning to process death while still keeping my priorities in tact by having goals but more so than that making a commitment to them because without making a commitment it just adds to the list of failures.
Set realistic goals and expectations. It’s okay—and healthy—to realize you cannot be 100% successful at everything all at once. Be mindful of the things you can control and work on accepting the things that you can’t control.

Happy Birthday to me.
Celebrating my birthday this week. I take this time of year to take inventory of my life. Where l’ve been where l’m going.
I think about the things l did that l am proud of. I reflect on my mistakes, what l learned and how l can do better the next time around. I think of what stories l tell myself that are no longer serving me so that l can let go of those things.

A few fun facts about us Virgos 🖤

Virgo’s strive for perfection we desire to have order to our lives. We may not always be right but we “ain’t “never wrong.
We thrive on ethical hard work, living a healthy lifestyle and we absolutely love animals and being in nature.
We can be extremely direct and critical but know it’s with love because we know you got what it takes. Know that we are just as critical if not more of ourselves.
If we spend our precious time with you know that you are very special to us as we take our use of energy and time very seriously.
If we consider you a friend. You will have our solid support and will be your biggest cheerleader. This earth sign will motivate, encourage and speak life into you.
We are also highly intuitive.
We’re most compatible with Capricorns, Aries, Taurus, and Scorpios. We don’t bulllshiaaat, only talk when it’s necessary and hold conversations of substance.
We make loving someone into an art form. We are romantics at heart and take our time in relationships. Our love is not earned easily, but once it is earned we love completely.
We’re not for everyone, many think we are stuck-up, stand offish, shy as most of us are lol. We are also low key extroverts once we are comfortable. We first observe people, vibes, our surroundings and the flow good conversation has got too feel right for us to open up.
Once we’re comfortable, you can’t shut us up! We know how to have fun and experience pure elation. If you can handle this brand of love in your life, don’t sleep on a Virgo ♍️

Hello Beauties!
In addition to being fabulous, a lot of our lifestyle is structured around what we eat. In weight management food is very important.
People can work out for hours and hours, cardio and power walk, run themselves to death sweat out in saunas only to get frustrated when just ” water weight ” comes off and never really seem to lose anything.
Such a shame after a Diva has sweated her hair out and no results!
In managing weight it’s 90% of what you eat, and 10% of exercise, so let’s check out how our diets compare:
The American Cancer Society has developed guidelines to help you reduce your risk for cancer and other ” lifestyle ” illnesses like heart disease and diabetes etc.
Did you know that scientist estimate that 35% of all cancer deaths may be related to what we eat?
We don’t need to be buying flowers for any divas anytime soon so check out these steps listed below to help get us started on the path to eating clean.
* Avoiding Obesity ( weighing more than 20% or more of your target weight standard based on your frame and if you are small or big boned )
* Eating fewer foods that have high cholesterol levels.
* Cutting down on fat intake – primarily from animals that come from meat and dairy products
*Eating bulkier, high fiber foods like veggies and whole grain breads and cereals
* Eating at least 5 servingsof fruits and veggies each day especially those rich in vitamin A and Vitamin C.
* Consuming moderate amounts of salt cured, smoked, foods like bacon, ham, and smoked fish.
* Don’t blame it on the alcohol! LoL limit your intake if you drink at all
* Cutting down on salt
* Reduce intake of sugar
* Reducing fat intake
* Choose food items with less than one gram of fat per 30 calories.
* Keep saturated fat ( found in animal products and packaged foods ) less than 10% of total calories.
* Calculate the percentage of calories from fat by ( amount of calories x .30 = number of calories from fat )
If you need help on deciding what to eat and how much of it use The Food Guide Pyramid.
