Hi Divas!

This week l had the good fortune of lucking up and being gifted a trampoline by a neighbor who no longer used theirs it’s basically new and in great condition!

I’ve been wanting to get one for a minute but they are sold out in a lot of places the good quality ones. Everyone keeping active with everything going on.

Hey Divas!

We have all kinds of seasons throughout our lives. We only have and will always have the present season.

We’ve had a season of making mistakes, a season of doing everything “ right “ a season of being all “ wrong “ a season to be better and do better.

It’s not complicated. It’s just a matter of knowing the season you’re in and embracing it dear diva.

I’m in a season of being perfectly imperfect. Perfection has not brought me what l truly desire out of my life. When you know better. You do better.

I think about the mistakes l’ve made. I think about the things l’ve done right. The things l’ve done wrong and how l can do better.

Embracing this season. Embracing this journey.

Hi Divas & Hello August!

New month new goals. So in short l was doing the extra most over this past year and a half or so during quarantine. I started to get serious about weight loss last month and to really focus on my health and all around wellness. There’s much life l have left to live and l want to be in the best shape possible to enjoy it.

I look at my face and see my mother’s face. I’m 43. She was 53 when she died from complications of diabetes. The older l get l the younger she looks. It’s not too late for me. I can turn this around. I was going down a path of feeling numbness in my legs and my fingers.

I’ve reached the highest weight of my life. I became depressed because l was ashamed that l allowed myself to go this far. Then l remembered l’m a Diva first and foremost always. I keep a smile on my face because I still have my body. I still have my mind. I still have my health.

Ironically, I’m passionate about nutrition. I really deep dived into it over the years after starting my blog. I’m grateful that l have the knowledge to know what l need to do to take care of myself and get back on track while working with my doctor and nutritionist.

Having professional help will hold me accountable to my goals and connect the dots.

Hello Beauties It’s Wellness Wednesday!

So we have heard of like every diet, pill, and surgery,but no matter what we do it always comes back and we are off to try the next big thing! The next break through like green coffee beans is not new hot ticket item. Did you know that Americans spend over 1 BILLION, yes divas Billion with a “ B “ on weight loss products and services??????? Do you know how many Coach bags 1 BILLION dollars can buy???? It’s heart breaking. The hard truth that there are no quick fixes most people end up gaining double what they lost and the most of the popular weight loss programs fail to teach us about the most vital and critical component to be successful in losing as well as managing our weight. If we do not properly digest our food losing and managing weight can turn into bigger problem and can trigger the onset of chronic and degenerative disease.
Digestion is the Basis of our overall health. Digestion is responsible for so much that goes on inside us, everything from to how we feel to how we function, how much energy we have to go shopping to the fat we burn in Zumba to the appearance of our skin if our stomach is bloated or not. It’s a pretty amazing process!
Have you ever thought that your belly has a mind of it’s own. It makes you do unmentionable things like having fried sushi, a late night cap, or maybe those midnight munchies? It’s true our stomachs do have a mind of their own! Have you ever been so excited to see someone that you can feel it in the pit of your stomach or so nervous that you are sick to your stomach before that next big job interview? # ding! ding! ding!
Did you know that 80% of the body’s total serotonin is in our stomachs? Serotonin is our “free happy pills “ that naturally produces within our body, without the shrink visit and prescription bill to boot! So basically if our digestion is all outta control this can have a big impact that can affect our mood! # not a good look for a diva!
Once we get our digestion on track no more rockin that “back fat “ NO MORE ROCKIN a Full C Cup on our backs! EVVVVVVVAAAAAAA!!!!
