So what’s the deal with calcium? Did you know that very few people get the recommended daily amount of it?

Study’s have shown that people who tend to be deficient in calcium tend to carry extra weight than those who don’t. The theory is that if we are low in calcium our brains will tell us to eat more food that contains calcium which most of are high in fat like dairy products! Yes Extra Sour Cream Please!

About Calcium Supplements: Some scientist believe that it can help break down fat more efficiently. The daily recommended amount is 1000 milligrams calcium is absorbed better in divided doses so break it up! Be sure to take a trusted calcium supplement and avoid the ” natural ” ones they have oyster shell or bone meal they are less regulated and can contain lead.
