Hello Beauties!

I’ve been sick all this week and  one thing is certain is that it has given me an opportunity to re-prioritize my life. When simple everyday time is taken away from you because you are not feeling well we can start to appreciate all the time that we really do have and do the things that we enjoy.

We all have 168 hours in a week if you break it down you can really see where you have extra time to fit those extra things into your life and if you don’t have time you can see where all of your time is going.

Here is my example:

Hours in a week 168 Hours  7 days

56 hours ( Sleep 8 hours a day )

42.5 ( Hours at work Full Time  Job plus 30 min lunch break )

10.0 ( Hours in Travel Time to work back to and from )

7.0 ( Grooming Time 1 hour a day 45 minutes for work 15 min before bedtime)

10.0 ( Hours to Exercise )

10.5 ( Hours Eating Meals 3 Meals a Day 30 minutes )

2.0 ( Hours weekly grocery shopping )

2.0 ( Hours prepare meals for the week )

1.0 ( Laundry sorting folding etc. wash time can be filled while doing other activities )

___________________________________________________

This leaves me with 27 hours for the week after my basic needs are met.

I run a home business, dedicate my time to blogging, and my hobby painting so let’s take a look at my extras.

10.0  ( Hours Running Home Business – Blogging etc. )

10.0  ” Me Time ” (  Hours dedicated to my hobby Painting )

After I get to do do everything that I want to do this leaves me with 7 Hours of Free Time!  I can use an hour a day or savor it for the weekend!

So who’s down to go to Lunch! See a Movie? Go Bowling? Etc! Kids Soccer Game whatever trips your trigger Dear Diva!

Take Time to Figure Out your Time You may have more Time than you Think! 🙂

It’s not so much running a strict schedule it’s making sure that you get things done in the amount of time that you have set aside for it!

Hello Beauties!

What we say can sometimes make us who we are or even who we become; may it positive or negative .

If we tell ourselves that we are dumb and ugly then guess what you  become dumb and uglier by the minute;  dumb + ugly =  not a good look for a diva!

Life is what you make it and the words we say about ourselves is what we believe about ourselves on somekind of level. So why not focus on the positive side of things.

If we tell ourselves that we are fun! fabulous! fierce and have only our greatness to share with the world then guess what? We are just THAT!

1. Use positive self talk morning until bedtime.

2. Find something good in all of your personal relationships and accentuate the blessings or lessons in even the most trying confrontations

3. Look at problems as opportunities

4. Lean to stay relaxed and friendly no matter how much tension you are under.

5. Think well of your health.

6. In projecting your own healthy condition to others realize that your daily conversation is the automatic readout of your thoughts and subconscious emotions.

7. In dealing with children, in addition to ensuring proper health and medical treatment, focus on the childs attention toward the reward of benefit of being well.

8. Expect the best from others too!

9. The best way to remain optimistic is to associate with winners and optimists.

Fabulous Friday Better than Beauty Secrets! : Your Feet are Fortune!

Your face can not be fabulous if your feet hurt.

Remember being in the club and had a painful corn?

Do you remember being at the babyshower and your shoes pinched?

Being adventerous on a nature hike and had gotten a blister on your heeel sportin some new  ” kicks ” ?

Let’s face it if your face is not looking fabulous your conversation can not be fabulous, your personality can not be fabulous, if your feet hurt!

Even the most minor foot discomfort can add years and erase diva-ness charm.

There is nothing complicated about proper care of feet we love our pedicures so that’s a no brainer but also take the time to get properly fitted for a shoe by an expert.

If your feet are not normal go get checked out by a doctor.

The shoes we use for walking and everyday do not have to be orthopedic black boot shoes!

There are a few simple tricks that will allow you to stroll with foot confidence and be Fly all at the same time!

1. Lower heels – it still gives you a lift without all the pressure  of our weight and promotes good posture and height.

2. Flats – be careful with this one if you are short roll with the kitty pump flats will pull you to the ground! Flats are a great solution for tall divas!

3. Wide heels – the larger your frame  you may want to consider a heel with a larger width such as a wedge.  This not only is good support , it is also more flattering and slimming effect to a larger frame – Skinny heels are not a good look for a plus sized Diva as they make her appear unbalanced and adds more width to her waistline.

Your diva walk should be distinguished. You don’t want people to notice your posture good or bad. You want them to see YOU!

So put your best foot forward and invest in a good shoe!

High Blood Pressure What is It? Are you @ Risk?

February 16, 2012

Mia The Diva

Hello Beauties!

So what is high blood pressure and how do you know if you even have it?

Blood pressure is the force of your blood against the walls of your blood vessels.

Blood pressure is measure in millimeters of mercury so you often see it written as mmHg.

There are two different numbers that you want to look at:

Systolic Pressure  ( Top Number )

Diastolic Pressure ( Bottom Number )

A healthy blood pressure is 120/80 mmHg. ( for diabetics goal is less than 130/80 mm Hg )

High Blood Pressure also known as hypertension is sometimes known as the

” silent killer ”  because sometimes a diva just does not know when her blood pressure is high she is too busy being fabulous!

You may feel Fabulous dear diva but if your blood pressure is high you may be at risk for a heart attack, stroke, kidney disease, vision problems etc.

So make sure you get checked out by your doctor today and make sure your vessels are in check!

I don’t want to have to buy any flowers!
