Divas, take heart. We may not be feeling like ourselves right now but life still goes on. We may have important dates to attend, looking for a job, a potential busines partner, meeting up with that special someone etc. When we meet someone for the first time, impressions last!
Forget about the whole “Don’t judge a book by it’s cover. ” First impressions must be surfaced if you want people to get to know the ” goody- goody- yummy- oh- so- Fabulous -You! You’ve got to put your best “heels” forward look your best and make that impression STICK! Make It Work! Then later on let your Flyness, Intelligence, and Integrity do the rest of the work.
Shaking Hands: Be mindful of your handshake DIVAS – Fishy Flaky Dead Limp hand-shakes are noticed. # not a good look for a diva!
Be gentle but Firm, we don’t want to be too firm to where people roll up a sleeve for an arm-wrestling match but along with handshakes is smiles for miles and are just as important of a gesture.
You may have spotted divas giving a “ fake “ smile a simple half-hearted grin. You know the kind we give when we want to be polite but not bothered? Who me? Yes You.
-We all have been guilty of it.
A smile must come from within, it must be genuine, it must be warm. Sometimes when we are not feeling like ourselves maybe we are not in the best shape, maybe we have put on some weight, and maybe we are just not feeling like ourselves. How we feel on the inside can sometimes counter act how we project ourselves on the outside; just a friendly reminder to be mindful of it dear diva.
Have you ever seen ever seen someone who is just “ busted “ and very difficult on the eyes but all of that seems to be forgotten with a bright beautiful cheerful attractive smile? An attractive smiles can forgive just about anything. It also creates a happy vibe between people and can be more powerful than any words when creating a bond.
So even if you are not feeling like yourself now, don’t be afraid to laugh, show out a little bit, have fun and most importantly don’t be afraid to be you, because ” No one can be you’ er than YOU! ” Dr. Suess
