Hello Beauties!
We talked about in our meeting this past Sunday about how the body processes carbs into sugar which then is released to our pancreas to regulate our blood sugar levels.
If we eat foods that are ” over-processed carbs ” like white bread, refined pasta, foods that are also high in fat can do a ” take over ”
If our body produces too much insulin excess fat can store in the body.
If we constantly eat food that triggers for our blood sugar to spike it can overwork out bodies insulin production system which over time can develop into what is traditionally known as Type 2 Diabetes.
We can avoid this by making sure we eat Protein at every meal and snack.
A few good proteins are Turkey, Oysters, Lamb, and Chicken to name a few.
WHY?
Because Protein lowers our blood sugar response and lessens our need for insulin.
Be sure to load up on non starchy carbs like Almonds, Oats, Whole grain bread, Spinach etc!
Be Fabulous!
